Product Description
When I was first assigned to teach World History, I knew I wanted to teach it through themes-overarching frameworks that I could apply to everything I taught. What I came up with was three fold:

1. S.A.D. Cycle: taught to me by a fellow colleague, this allows students to summarize the cycle that each civilization goes through: stability, achievements, and decline.

2. Conflict: Teaches students to place any conflict faced by a society into one of four types.

3. Themes: adopted from the AP World History course, this is used to make students make connections across cultures: the impact that any given society had on other societies and vice versa. This is more broad than the first.

This powerpoint includes detailed notes for students to learn how to use these.
