This section is one of four covered in the “Interactions and Diffusion” period of history (600 CE - 1450 CE) and addresses the story of the Mongol Empire. Please click through the presentation before class to get familiar with the graphics and animations.
*NOTE ABOUT FONTS - In previous slideshows I have only used the standard fonts that come with Google Slides. I expanded a little bit with this one and used the following fonts that are available for free and EASY to add through Google Slides: Pacifico, Marck Script, and Comfortaa.
I recommend adding these fonts before you get started with the slideshow as adding them afterwards may cause some formatting issues. Here are the steps to add fonts in Google Slides: Open Google Slides → click into a text box → click the font dropdown menu → click “More Fonts...” → search for the fonts above → select them → click ok! And there you go!
All of my slideshows are inspired by infographics, and my kids love it! They find the content more interesting and seem to be overall more engaged in the material. Some have even noted to me that they retain the information better than with traditional PowerPoints.
