For students with severe disabilities, participating in daily activities in a regular history class can be challenging. Providing meaningful activities for them when their classmates are doing quite work is difficult. As an alternative to an essay or daily warmups, using Vocabulary Writing also may tie into a student's OT IEP goals. These words highlight many common vocabulary words and map locations to learn in each topic of study from the fall of Rome, European Feudalism, African Kingdoms, early Islam, European Exploration, Early China, Early Japan, and European Renaissance. Students can learn to identify vocabulary words for each unit through writing the words.
