This is a reading activity for advanced high school Spanish students (or the equivalent in college). It is a collection of selections from Wikipedia on languages, their families, language origin, history of English and history of Spanish. There are fourteen true false comprehension questions, eleven vocabulary identifications and three free response prompts that require three written sentences each. A full answer key is included, with answers for the true/ false and matching questions as well as a rubric for the free response. This activity worked well in my AP Spanish language class giving them a challenging, but approachable reading activity as we prepare for the AP exam. The reading selections are slightly over four pages long with three pages of activities. The answer key is an additional three pages long.
