Tired of doing the same things in your General Music Class or Elementary Music Classroom. This is GREAT to get students involved in research and collaborate groups.
I always have my students watch the video "Pulse" before we start the project. The students then choose a country to research (I typically give them guided regions of the world for easier researching possibilities). Research can be done outside class or during class.
The students then team up into 4 and each student has a job responsibility, but all (excluding the cameraman) participate in the video. They must come up with facts, write lyrics to any song they know that include the facts found, and then perform during "video day" with a video camera or iPad (iMovie is a great program!). **Typically, I have students spread out in our school courtyard and they do their video project without an audience, then we watch them the next classroom day**
This product includes: Job responsibility slots, organized fact spaces, lyric writing space, and an attached rubric.
