Encourage your students to read picture books from around the world and learn about different cultures with this passport. There are so many fairytales and folktales from different countries or nonfiction books that students can read! Students read a picture book from another country, fill out the passport, and receive a stamp or sticker. Your students will even write a short summary of the book, which is great for those ELA Common Core Standards. The passport should be printed two sided and folded into quarters. I use this during the IB Unit of Inquiry How We Express Ourselves, but it can be used in any school.
