The World Theatre Research Project includes the following:
Access to an attractive Google Site featuring images and photos from the the following sample world theatres: Greek Theatre, Noh Theatre, Chinese Opera, and Kabuki Theatre.
This website contains everything you need for this project!
The google site is research ready with website links for research by providing links to 4 digital resources for each World Theatre topic (including 3 websites and a youtube video).
Students will select two world theatre topics to research from the following: Greek, Kabuki, Noh, and Chinese Opera.
Using the note-taking handout and MLA citation sheets, students will research the following areas and document each source utilized:
History of Two World Theatres;
Cultural Impact of Two World Theatres;
Actors and Costumes;
Comparison of Two World Theatres;
Contrast between Two World Theatres.
After conducting research and saving relevant images, students will showcase their learning by creating a slidedeck using Google Slides or power point.
*All Google Drive handouts can be downloaded and printed for teachers preferring a paper copy.
A Digital Notecard link is included for students to store notes in their Google Drive for home access. This can also be downloaded and printed.
A MLA Website Documentation Sheet is also included for students to copy, edit, and store in their Google Drive.
