This project is a favorite for my World History students, even the ones that are not artistically gifted as there are numerous ideas for them. The project is for the students to make a creative project that relates to our unit on World War I. Students can write a song, short story, their own war story, a one act, or they can jump into the art world and make a comic book (online or drawn), a mosaic, a diorama, or they can go with the classic, and remake of the trench system. With web 2.0 tools so readily available, there are so many options for the students.

To prove that the students though know their history, they have to write an artist's statement that discusses their work of art and also discusses the historical merit to it.
