Product Description
Students are to use what they have learned in class to contextualize, or imagine the setting, of World War I trenches. Students write a letter home to a loved one, describing the conditions and technology of World War I trench warfare. They must discuss the reason for their country being involved with World War I and use 16 prescribed words in their letter. These words cover everything from trench foot to machine guns. This assignment is a great way to get students to put themselves into the shoes of a World War I soldier. More assignments and units at my TpT store, The Historian.
