As teachers, we always have to write letters of recommendations for students. Don't you hate it when they say they need the letter written the day before it is due? Lets give the kids a taste of their own medicine.
Below, I will give some basic directions of the scenario. The actual word doc. will share more details as well as a mock letter of recommendation I wrote for a fellow teacher.
"Directions: You were hanging out in your brand new apartment when all of a sudden, an important person from World War I appeared in the middle of your kitchen (Thankfully, it turns out they were from a parallel universe so you don’t have to worry about history changing or anything)! Weird stuff for sure, but they can’t figure out how to get back to their own time and now you are stuck with him/her."
The rest of the story explains how you have a new roommate and you need to help get them a job by writing a letter of recommendation. The characters to choose from are important people from WWI. (Rasputin getting a job a nightshift manager at Dunkin Donuts etc.)
