Begin your class by distributing the Propaganda Strategy Reference Sheet. Go over the definition of propaganda and the commonly used strategies. Print the 6 (8x11) American propaganda posters and hang them around your room. Give each student a double-sized copy of the propaganda analysis sheet (that also has a mini image of each poster on it). Students should circulate the room in a gallery-walk format to identify the audience, message, and strategy of each poster. They are also asked to explain whether or not they find it persuasive and then create one of their own.
