After briefly explaining the causes of WWI in Europe, Dr. P. dives into the conflict's impact at home, including a discussion of the economy, politics, and gender and race relations of the 1920s.

Teachers may use the video as a brief introduction to WWI, assigning it to students to watch at home while taking notes. Or, teachers have the option to play the video in class, stopping at any one of the discussion-provoking images to analyze a political cartoon or examples of the period's poster propaganda.

So, while the video itself runs 13 mins, 22 secs, if teachers choose to pause it and discuss various images or topics in the video, it could easily fill an entire class period.
