I created these resources to use in my own fifth grade classroom to supplement my WWII unit. There are two sets of fill in the blank notes (2 copies per page) for students to glue into their interactive notebooks or clip into their binders. Each set of notes comes with an answer key on the next page.
These are perfect for if you don't want your students to have to copy notes word for word or if you need an accommodation for ESOL/SPED students.
The first set of notes is about the ways in which Americans assisted with the World War II effort on the home front. The second set of notes is about the formation and impact of the Tuskegee Airmen.
The specific standard from the Georgia Standards of Excellence addressed in these files are:
SS5H4 Explain America’s involvement in World War II.
e. Describe the effects of rationing and the changing role of women and African Americans or Blacks; include “Rosie the Riveter” and the Tuskegee Airmen.
