PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity can be used for high school U.S. History during a World War II unit. I have used it for 11th grade and the activity lends itself to connecting current events to the historical period.

After reading and annotating the speech, students can use the graphic organizer to apply FDR’s four freedoms to similar challenges that exist in our world today.

Depending on the reading level of your students, you can use the whole speech before the graphic organizer or read/distribute a few excerpts for them to get the main idea before doing the activity.
