Based on Hasbro's game, Scattergories, World War II Scattergories focuses on a general curriculum overview with such categories as world leaders, military figures, Axis and neutral countries, Allied countries, military equipment, consequences of World War I, Pearl Harbor, and more.
You will receive two lists of eight categories, answer sheets, clear directions, and a complementary ABC deck in case you don't have or can't get ABC dice or an ABC spinner for game play. Great for groups of 3-6 players. You will need to print the lists and answers for each player and an ABC deck per group (if necessary). Then, simply set up a timer (there are plenty free ones online) and you're ready to play!
Each list of categories can be played up to 26 times - using each letter of the alphabet. Students brainstorm items for the categories within a given time limit using the key letter. Students should not feel they need an answer for each categories, especially with difficult letters like K, Q, X, Y, Z, although there are answers for those letters for the WWII enthusiast!
The minimum amount of time you would need to play two initial rounds with conversation among students would be about 15 minutes. However, it would be so easy to make this an entire period activity or after-school review session!
