Description

This class play deals with the background to and causes of the First World War, along with its progression and conclusion. It highlights the plight of the soldiers suffering the horrendous conditions in the trenches and the appaling waste of life. The subject, whilst tragic, is dealt with in factual yet sensitive way - the ending showing how good can come from evil.
This is the first of a number of scripts 'in the pipeline' as 2014, as a year of commemoration, is going to be massive in the UK.
The cast size is 30 and reading time around 15 minutes. Best suited to children 10 years and above.
Other scripts available from Sue Russell - on Remembrance Day and World War Two.
