I designed this worksheet and project to go with the "Worst-Case Scenario" Survival Handbook Series. It has become my "GO TO" unit for my tougher classes of "At-Risk" high school students and reluctant readers.Even my "refusers" will look at this, despite themselves! The book topics provide material for surprisingly engaging discussions and the worksheet provides practice in Reading, Visualization, Comprehension, Spelling, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, Order, and Recall. The same worksheet can be used for every scenario chapter in any of the 13 handbooks available. It can be used for 2 days or 20 days, whatever works for you. I've picked up the Handbook books at used book stores, but can be found at libraries, bookstores and on-line. Have Fun! (Handbook title examples: Surviving Work, Travel, College, Paranormal, Dating, etc./ Scenario examples: How to Break Down a Door, Fend Off a Shark, Take a Punch, Deliver a Baby in a Taxicab, Land a Plane, etc.) Please feel free to modify my work to fit your needs, however, please do not share or sell my ideas. Questions, Comments and Ratings are welcome!
