Many teachers do “write the room” activities all year long. We thought this would be the perfect time to incorporate social studies!
These topics can be used as provocations for our monthly social studies units
OR they can stand alone as a typical write the room activity.
We thought that including real photographs and global topics would at least provide a springboard for meaningful conversation as your students will naturally have questions about the images that they are seeing!
We have included:
-32 high resolution photos- 8 for our 4 different topics (Hispanic Heritage Month, Spending and Saving, The History of Sugar Skulls, and Ferdinand Magellan).
-Differentiated recording sheets to accommodate grades K-3.
We hope that this serves as a concrete way to incorporate global themes into your daily instruction!
