After Halloween, have your students write about their Halloween adventure! Use the four-square graphic organizer at the top of the page to plan out the writing, then write about it on the lines below. On the planner, the middle box is for the main idea and the four outside boxes are for supporting details. For example, a student may use the main idea that her Halloween was fun. She would write "fun" in the middle box. All the supporting details around it should tell more about why it was fun and the things she did that were fun.
It's a quick and easy way to assess student writing right after a fun holiday that they are excited about!
