Product Description
This is a wonderful way to either encourage your class as a whole or individuals in your class who need to be challenged, gifted, curious, lovers of a particular genre of writing who you know could create their own work, for your poets, chefs, memoirists, photographers, students who need a focus beyond the daily grind, introverts....in other words, this can be used in any way you see fit to challenge your students to create a work of their own to be published as an e-book; if you'd like, November is National November Writing Month, so if you want to keep this as a short term project, this is an option as well. I have had great success with students who've seen their work through to its fruition; however, ALL of my students enjoyed the included day's lesson discussing genre types, elements/characteristics of these genre types, what they themselves would like to write, and seeing themselves on the continuum of authors in the past and themselves as writers of the future has made it worthwhile for all. This does involve time, as all good teaching does, and I suggest every 20 pages or so do a quick proofread for blaring errors, make use of spell check, partner editing, but most of all, nurture and encourage! You will be amazed! Have fun and please let me know by commenting on your students' progress. Best, Rockermom
