Four pages of exercises that help students to understand how to create imagery in their writing. Each page focuses on a different setting. Students are required to consider the setting and brainstorm what they might be able to see, touch, hear, taste and smell in those environments. There is then a comprehension paragraph based on each setting that students can fill in using their ideas from the brainstorm activity. Finally, there is a section for students to come up with their own paragraphs. These exercises follow a 'modeled, guided, independent' structure.
