This is an easy way to teach beginning writers to write a complete sentence including a subject and a predicate. Students begin by drawing a picture of the subject (who or what) and then the predicate (what happened) and then write the words to go with their pictures. Begin by modeling for students. Then do a few together. Before you know it your kindergarten or first grade students will be writing complete sentences on their own. A sentence writing rubric is included. Great for Kentucky's Program Review.
