This Common Core writing lesson helps students practice writing a narrative. Real and imaginative events are represented. This lesson also aligns with the 3rd grade standards 3.W.3a Establish a situation and introduce a narrator and/or characters; organize an event sequence that unfold naturally, and 3.W.10 Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of discipline-specific tasks, purposes, and audiences. In addition to the lesson, there are four pages of independent practice and review modeled after the Common Core assessment items.
This lesson is a shockwave file (.swf) that is compatible with all web browsers and operating system on any PC, Mac, or Chromebook. Answers will pop onto the page with the click of a mouse or presentation remote.
