This is a small group activity (best with 3 students) that requires students to write two functions that fit a given set of operation criteria. Students then perform the operation to verify that validity of their responses. The work is divided into three parts per question. Partner one writes a function, partner two writes a function and partner three performs the indicated operation. The division of work requires heavy collaboration and planning on the part of the group to ensure that the functions written will meet the operation criteria. Each part of the problem is numbered 1-3 in a rotating pattern to ensure that students have different roles for each problem. This assignment includes inverse functions.
