Happy New Year! I hope everyone is having a wonderful, restful winter break!
To start off the new year, I decided to make another set of Write the Room cards for the months of January and February. What's great about these cards is they're blank! I'm always on the hunt for monthly themed cards and, although I've found a lot of cute ones, most have words already printed on them. With these cards, you can write your own words (sight words, vocabulary words, themed, numbers, names, etc.) and reuse the cards over and over again! Enjoy!
Directions: Print the cards on card stock and laminate for durability. Cut the cards out, use a whiteboard marker or Vis-a-Vis pen to write choice words on each card, then post them around the room. Have partners work together in finding the words while completing the supplemental worksheet. It is recommend for students to have a clipboard or whiteboard to use as a writing surface while on their hunt. When done, carefully wipe the words off the cards and reuse again!
Another Idea: Scale down the file and print two copies of each page/card. Write the same word on the same cards to create monthly match games/concentration!
