Whenever we do write the room, my students are so engaged! They love scrambled sentences as well so putting the two together equals super student engagement!
For this activity, students will choose a picture from their recording sheet and then walk around the room looking for the words that match that picture. They will read the first word and then write it on the line beside the corresponding picture. They will continue until they have found all of the words that match that picture. They will then read their sentence. They will repeat this process for the remaining sentences.
I have included a couple of writing papers with the following headers: All About Frogs, All About Red-Eyed Tree Frogs, & The Life Cycle of a Frog. I have also included an 'I can' chart to display in your write the room center to remind students what to do. Vocabulary cards are also included to help students with content knowledge and spelling in their writing. This pack also includes two sets of cards to differentiate: one set with numbers to guide students and one set without numbers to challenge students.
This center is simple prep: print, cut, and display the word cards around the room. I plan to print the recording sheet front to back to save on paper.

RF.1.1a- Recognize the distinguishing features of a sentence (e.g., first word, capitalization, ending punctuation).
RF.1.3g Recognize and read grade-appropriate irregularly spelled words.
