This is a bulletin board set to help set expectations for your students’ writing. I introduce each expectation to my students and review what it should look like. This set includes sample sentences as well as a blank page so that you can co-create anchor sentences with your students. I leave this bulletin board up all year. The four expectations are: finger spaces, capital letter, ending punctuation and lowercase letters in the sentence.
This set also includes editing bookmarks that your students can use whenever they are writing. I laminate mine and leave them in a basket in my writing center next to our bin of 3D movie glasses (with lenses popped out) that students use when editing).

This set also includes sentence writing practice pages – my students write 4 sentences and highlight where they are showing the expectation.
This set includes a writing page for them to demonstrate all 4 of the expectations. This page is available in two options – with and without a space for an illustration.
Finally there is a sign to display their writing on a bulletin board. I also included basic templates for creating their own people that look similar to the clipart characters.
