Writing workshop IS for secondary students. If you want to use a workshop approach to teaching writing, this bundle is for you! The bundle includes learning stations, short mentor texts, writing prompts, posters, activities, lessons, organizers, rubrics and more. You can also get access to my Workshop Support Group on Facebook.

NEW July 2018:

I've added some new forms and organizers, as well as instructions for how you could use both the Reader's Workshop Bundle and the Writer's Workshop Bundle to create detailed lessons plans. (Currently, there are plans for description and narration. More will be added as they are completed). Be sure to download the bonus file.

♥ Amazing! I have always had difficulty teaching writing to my secondary students. I knew what they need to do in order to improve but I could never convey it in a way that they really understood. So I'd always end up with very formulaic pieces that they would write. It seemed like they never strayed from the formula and would never take the time to revise. I could never get them to edit/revise meaningfully. This resource has helped me so much with that! It also leaves a lot of the teaching/learning in the students hands. They definitely have more accountability and feel more invested using the activities in this bundle. There were so many activities that it never felt repetitive doing the same old thing when we would write different pieces.

This is NOT in the bundle, but would be a great addition for mini-lessons on Word Choice.
