All the writing paper and cover pages you need to get started with Writer's Workshop.
In this kit, there are three different design choices for your students to choose from when selecting their cover page and pocket labels for writer's workshop.
Have students choose their style, colour and decorate it according to their preference. All you have to do then is provide them with a three-pocket folder for students to organize their writing into three categories: "Writing Ideas" "Working on it" "Finished"
We call these writing folders our "mini-offices" because they give us privacy while writing, and hold all the tools and ideas we need to get our writing done.
In this kit you will find different kinds of writing paper to suit the needs of your primary students, as well as a 2 topics sheets for students to record their writing ideas down on.
Also in this kit, you will find 4 different levelled checklists for young writers. At the bottom of each checklist I added a blank line. I use this when I conference with students, and still need to keep the same lower levelled checklist, but perhaps need to add one goal for that student. I've also created a blank checklist so that you can list off individualized goals for each child if necessary.
Have fun with this! These simple paper options have given my students the right amount of scaffolding, as well as freedom to expand their writing!
