Writer's workshop focuses students on the process necessary to create great writing. It's an excellent strategy for teaching and learning, but it can be hard to organize. (This is available in my Writer's Workshop Bundle.)

Imagine a classroom where students move from station to station, taking responsibility for their learning, and following the process necessary for creating something awesome. These stations can help you create an environment for this to happen.

This product is NOT a how-to for writer's workshop. It’s expected that you already have the information that you need to roll it out in your classroom. The SKILL BUILDING station comes with overviews of elements of good writing, but these do not replace the mini-lessons and handouts you may need to give your students. I do, however, include suggestions for other products that you can use for this purpose.

In this package you will find:

Titles for your learning stations.Task cards for the learning stations. Each learning station asks students to complete one or more tasks that focus on the process necessary for creating a final product. It's not meant to be a linear process; students should go back and forth as they tweak and revise their writing. There are also editable task cards that you can use to suit the needs of your classroom and students.

Graphic Organizers. These are guides for students as they plan, organize, research and write. There are checklists and planning forms for feedback and revision.
