PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Mother Goose rhymes are an awesome source to motivate and develop Middle School and High School students; thinking and writing skills.

I have used them successfully for creative, journalistic and expository writing for more than two decades. Not only do the poems make teenagers giggle, but the writing allows them to use their left and right brains, depending on what they write. Teachers can adapt these assignments for upper elementary through twelfth grade students.

Suggestion - for a short research project, have students each select a different nursery rhyme to study. They will be amazed to discover how the poems reflect the political, moral, religious and societal beliefs and traditions of the times where they originated.
