Young writers often forget to define key vocabulary to their reader. This activity provides practice editing three paragraphs by adding in supporting information in areas that could use more explaining. There is a prompt for each paragraph that get the student thinking about what key term need to be defined for the reader. Included is a short reading passage and links to reading resources and informational videos that can be used to build background knowledge and as references.
