When teaching I love using literature every chance I get to introduce a topic. Over the years I have found that by using literature in my lessons... it increases interest, background knowledge, and helps provide for interesting classroom discussions.
Writing in first person is often a difficult concept for students to understand. When introducing writing in first person, I love using the book "The Other Dog" by Madeleine L’Engle…This is a wonderful book to use when introducing your students to writing in “first person”. This book is told from the perspective of a poodle.
This kit includes:
* a lesson plan
* literature (I use the book "The Other Dog" by Madeleine L’Engle)
