This writing project is based on the wonderful story by Judith Viorst.
Students will be creating their own story about a terrible day, by following the pattern of the story.
Your students are sure to relate to Alexander's bad day. They will write and illustrate their own story with guiding words from Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
My students love this writing project and they learn to embellish their own stories to make them fun and interesting. This writing activity can take some time to complete but when done they have a great story that they love to read to each other.
I am a primary multiage teacher and teach grades 1-3. They have all done well on this activity. It is a lot of fun and I am sure you'll like the stories.
