This activity allows students to gather information, take notes, and complete an essay based on information found in 3 different reading pieces based on how Snow Globes were invented and made. Students will read and take notes on an informational text called "How to Make a Snow Globe", a newspaper article called "Discovering a World of Snow" and read an infographic called "Did You SNOW This?" They will then use the graphic organizer provide to synthesis the information. Finally, they will organize their writing and write an informational writing piece based on the Common Core Standards expectations in testing. Students can then create their own snow globe from the patterns included! Informational Writing student notebook page is included!
