This document is a ready-to-go writing form for your students. Students will write about a "Special Day" they have had. The focus of this practice lesson will be on developing ideas and supporting details. The students are provided with the lines (15) to write their composition. At the bottom is a checklist for students to make sure their composition is accurate and written correctly. They will be checking for paragraph indentions, that they included the five Ws of how the day made the student feel, checked convention accuracy, and then if everything sounded right. They have a place to actually check that they edited their writing for these ideas.
Great for a literacy center idea, a homework assignment, writing assessment, etc. This is a quick writing activity for your students.
