What Would You Do?
This is a set of 20 writing prompts that cause students to think about how they would behave in certain situations. It asks them, “What would you do if…” These questions are relevant to students and they find it very interesting to discuss following their writing. I have seen pretty good debates come out of these writing prompts.
Quote of the Day – Celebrity Edition
Quote of the day is great warm up activity to get your students writing. This product includes 42 different quotes by some of your students’ favorite celebrities and sports stars. Each slide has a different quote on it. Each quote gives the students something to think about that is relevant to them and they can apply to their lives. (Such as bullying, peer pressure, rumors, working hard, being yourself, beauty, making mistakes, chasing dreams and many more.) Many of these quotes create wonderful discussions in my classroom.
Video Writing Prompts
Included in this product are 20 slides with links to motivational and/or interesting videos that are relevant to teenagers. The prompts encourage students to reflect on their own behavior, their character, and encourage them to think deeply about what they want out of life. It also encourages them to think about empathy for their classmates, their parents and others. Some videos even challenge students about making the right choices. Topics range from happiness and bullying to hilarious videos about crazy families.
Each video ranges from 2 – 7 minutes long. This is perfect for a quick warm up or bellringer. This could also be a great writing center if you have internet access in your center areas. Access to Youtube is required for the video clips in this presentation
Because this is a bundle, if you have purchased any of the other writing bell ringers, you will be duplicating that purchase here.
