This is a great way to organize your writing center area! Because of these labels, my first graders are able to independently navigate the bins, and move through the writing process with ease. Personally, I use the numbered labels to help, but I have included both versions.
Labels include some variation based on teacher's preference:
*Writing Center Poster (to hang above the entire area)
*Plan/*Pre-Write (where you could put writing webs and planning sheets)
*Draft/*Journals/*Folders/*Paper (where you could put materials for students to grab when they are ready to write)
*Listen (where you could put whisper phones where students can listen to themselves read their story aloud)
*Edit/*Edit/Revise (where you can put editing sheets for students to use independently-
see below for link to my product)
*Partner Edit/*Share (where you can put partner editing sheets to use with a buddy- see below for a link to my product)
*Conference (you could put this next to a sign up area, or where you meet with students before they publish)
*Publish/*Final Copy (where you can put fancy paper for students to write their final copies)
*Please message me if you would like me to add other labels!
