Included is a set of writing centers to be used throughout the course of the year with very limited prep. Each center includes instructions for use and the necessary writing pages in both primary lines and single lined paper. Students can continue a rotation between these centers throughout the year.
Picture Journal- simply give students a magazine and let them find their topic to write about.
Stencil story- provide students with new stencils each month and they create a picture to create a story around.
Plan and Build: This stem center includes task cards for the whole year, material ideas, and the sheets for students to write and draw their plans.
Research: Students can use a resource of your choice to research different animals and write about them on 2 different question sheets.
Fix the Oops: Students will choose sentence strips and make corrections to the sentences. Two levels of difficulty provided in sentence strips for corrections.
Talk Topics: Switch these to match the type of writing your class is discussing; narrative, opinion, or explanatory. Task cards provided for each and writing papers specific to that type of writing.
