Product Description
Use this assignment to encourage students to write a follow up chapter to chapter 8 of Standing Against the Wind (the assault chapter)

Students will be asked to: write chapter 8 ½ of Standing Against the Wind. This chapter takes place after the incident. It will follow one (or both) of the boys home and will give us a peek into the daily life of our antagonists. It is your job to shed light on their possible motives and to make our villains seem more human and relatable. While Rasheed and Eddie remain Patrice’s constant tormentors, we know very little about these boys. Based on their actions, we are only able to create inferences about where they might be coming from and what their motive for bullying Patrice might be.
