Teach your students to add adjectives, adverbs, better verbs, and more to their writing with this highly interactive PowerPoint on writing detailed sentences.

Video preview available here!

Overview of PowerPoint:

•Begins by comparing a boring sentence with a detailed sentence to show students the importance of adding details.

•Introduces 5 ways to add details to sentences, each with interactive portions (the students get to click which adjectives, etc, to add to the sentence, with accompanying animations).

•Teaches students to visualize details with interactive quiz.

•Includes follow-up guided worksheet.

This works great for a SmartBoard as well!

Note to Buyers:

I have included two versions of the PowerPoint. One works best in PowerPoint 2007, and the other works for 2010-2013.

The slides will appear to have overlapping text due to the animations, but when played as a slideshow will look normal. I recommend viewing the slideshow before presenting it to the students to become familiar with the way the buttons and slides are formatted.

If you're using a PC and the words appear to be overlapping or out of sync, try using the Mac version. The Mac version is compatible with PCs, the only difference being that it uses a universal font, which will help if your computer won't properly show the embedded fonts.
