UPDATED! If your students struggle to write dialogue correctly, this 3 day unit is for you! First students will receive a handout that will remind them of The Rules for Writing Dialogue, followed by practice questions and a place for them to Practice Writing Dialogue (answer key included).

The next day the students will pair up in groups of 2-3 and participate in the Pasta Punctuation Contest. Now updated to include 3 Google Forms ideal for warm-ups, exit slips, or assessments.

Lastly, included is a Final Assessment with 25 missing punctuation marks as well as a modified assessment. Then the students are prepared for any narrative writing assignment for the rest of the school year.
