This lesson was designed to be used with math 7 accelerated students, but is directly correlated to the 8th grade commom core standards. If using for an 8th grade class, simply change the title.
Students are given a linear equation (not in function form) and must solve for y to put it in function form. They will then state the slope and y-intercept of the equation. On the second page, students will still solve for y and state the slope and y-intercept, but then must also create a graph of the function.
