This is an activity for students learning to write equations in slope intercept form given two points. This puzzle contains problems in the form of a 4 x 4 grid where students match up the equation with the given two points. Roman numerals are included in the middle of the pieces so that a teacher can quickly check if the student is correct.
There are two puzzles included in the PDF file. On the first version, there are no equations on the outside of the puzzle. This makes putting together the puzzle easier for students. The second version differs in that it includes equations around the outside of the puzzle, which challenges students to practice their inductive reasoning and critical thinking skills, while making the puzzle more difficult. The difference in difficulty between the puzzles allows for differentiation amongst your ability groups. Both scrambled versions, answer keys, and a blank puzzle are included which allow you to pass out copies of the puzzles and have students cut out the pieces themselves.
Although it isn't necessary for use, it is recommended you print the puzzle on cardstock and have it laminated prior to cutting it out so it can last for years!
