Product Description
Learning how to write equations using one variable is always a tough concept for students to master. This is a homework sheet that we have used to help students practice the following algebraic skills: defining what an equation is, writing a numerical algebraic equation when given a verbal phrase and vice-versa, and reading a word problem and developing an equation that represents that word problem. We always emphasize the importance of students finding key words that will help them choose an operation for their equation, as well as finding out what it is that they don't know in the word problem (the variable).
