Product Description
A great resource for your students' writing folders/binders!

Four handouts are included.

1) Transitions (furthermore, however, for example)
2) Subordinating Conjunctions (before, when, because)
3) Punctuation Rules (12 rules for the comma and semi-colon)
4) Proofreading Marks (with example sentences)

Include this handout in your students' writing folder/binder at the beginning of the school year and refer back to the rules when you edit your students' work. Writing "rule #8" in the margin is much easier than writing out the rule for using commas with coordinating conjunctions!

These charts will help students vary their writing style by providing them with options!

If these charts are too overwhelming, download a copy just for your "teacher binder" and put sections at a time on flip-charts throughout the year.

For worksheets, projects, Task Cards and activities practicing these rules paired with third, fourth and fifth-grade novels, follow me.

Make sure to leave some feedback! Many thanks!
