In this file are three versions of the same graphic organizer (in standard pillar format) for writing an expository (informative) or persuasive piece. This organizer allows a student to plan out a five-paragraph essay that contains an introduction, three body paragraphs (each with up to four supporting details), and a conclusion.
The basic structure of each version of the graphic organizer is the same as the others. The only difference among the three versions is the level of support provided. In other words, the organizers contain varying degrees of helpful hints/reminders depending on the needs of individual students. Simply choose the version that is right for you and your students.
For students who require larger print and spaces in which to write down their thoughts, you may choose to enlarge whichever graphic organizer that you choose to use and copy it onto 11"-by-17" paper.
