This activity contains 6 stations (with an answer key). Each station gives a word problem then has the students write an expression for income, cost, and finally the profit in simplest terms. If you have a large class, you can make 2 copies of each station so that they are working in smaller groups. I never have time for my students to complete more than 6 stations anyways!
This activity directly correlates to lesson 3.3 in the Core-Plus textbook for Integrated Math 1. You can also use this activity with any curriculum if you are trying to teach the concept that Profit=Income - Cost!
