PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

It is important that elementary age students could distinguish between fact or opinion. This skill is not only important to Social Studies. It is significant for students to understand fact or opinion in creating their own writing and interpreting the writing of others.

This worksheet first explains what a fact and opinion is.
Then it gives two clear examples of facts and opinions and then gives a written explanation as to why each statement was a fact or opinion.

Students are then directed in the two page worksheet to then write their own facts and opinions and give the reason for each.

This assignment is teacher tested and created by Jody Weissler for the Teachtopia Education Network.
