This packet includes 12 riddles for students to read, think, write and draw. Each riddle is based on a February theme including groundhog's day, valentine's day, postage stamps, letters and writing, President's day and some animal facts. Students read the riddle, think of the answer; then writes a sentence to answer the question. Then, the student illustrates his/her sentence. These can be used as morning seat work, homework, fast finishers, literacy center or practice in literacy skills. An answer key is included and labels for a bin if you wish to place them in your room for extra work.
